30 Second Overview: The Hotel Rural Sa Talaia is located in a semi remote location close to San Antonio. This 14 room hotel is located close to a residential area on the outskirts of San Antonio and is within easy reach of the roads that take you to the beaches and Ibiza Town. The positives about this hotel are that the location means you are within easy reach of the road networks and you are not so remote that heading out feels like a mission allowing you to explore Ibiza by day and by night. The hotel is an oasis of tranquillity and the beautiful swimming pool and grounds that are sheltered by pine trees and offers a very relaxed environment for lazy days, or to cool off after discovering some of Ibiza’s beautiful beaches, before heading out to discover the infamous nightlife and entertainment.

Location: If you are looking for a true Ibiza rural experience then we think there are more suitable hotels... The road network we mentioned earlier can be seen from the back of the hotel… but you don’t really hear it. The Hotel is located close to the site of Ibiza Zoo which is home to “Zoo Project” a day time club event which takes place every Saturday, and sometimes on a Wednesday, usually running from June to September… Our experience is that you could only just about hear a slight noise from the event which is situated about 2 kilometres further up the hill...

We Think: We don’t feel it is a true “rural” Ibiza experience….in our opinion there are better options for you if you want a Rural Ibiza Holiday. With only 14 rooms we rarely found the swimming pool area and the cabanas busy, and they offered a great place to relax. In the evenings there is a restaurant that is open from Wednesday to Sunday. Being close to San Antonio and about a 20 minute drive to Ibiza Town means that you can easily find a wide choice of restaurants and bars. For clubbers wanting quiet days and great night then San Antonio offers Es Paradis and Eden, with Amnesia about 15 minutes away on the main road to Ibiza Town. The hotel does cater for families but offers no specific children’s facilities…we don’t think the pool is suitable for small children. However the pond at the back of the hotel could keep them occupied watching the frogs jumping around… so a rural experience without feeling remote.

The hotel can be hired out exclusively for events such as a wedding. The hotel has a permanent marquee structure in the grounds.

Rooms: There are 14 rooms at the Sa Talaia with some rooms located in the main building, and the remaining rooms next door in small single storey buildings

Double Room: The double room has a 26 inch flatscreen TV with satellite channels, DVD player, Wireless internet (Wi-Fi). Air conditioning and is soundproofed. The bathrooms have a Jacuzzi bath. There is a choice of pillows. Room service is available. These rooms are all located in the annexe next to the hotel.

Junior Suite: The junior Suite has its own terrace with table and chairs, 26” flatscreeen TV with satellite channels. iPod docking station. The bathrooms have a Jacuzzi bath. Wireless Internet (Wi-Fi) may not be available in these rooms due to the thickness of the walls. These rooms are in the main Hotel building.

Suite: The suite has a living area and it’s own terrace with table and chairs, 26” flatscreeen TV with satellite channels. iPod docking station. The bathrooms have a Jacuzzi bath. Wireless Internet (Wi-Fi) may not be available in these rooms due to the thickness of the walls. These rooms are in the main Hotel building.

Ducal Suite: The Ducal Suite is a large room with a separate living area and it’s own terrace with table and chairs, 26” flatscreeen TV with satellite channels. iPod docking station. An open fireplace and four poster bed afdd to the romance of the antique adorned rooms. The bathrooms have a Jacuzzi bath. Wireless Internet (Wi-Fi) may not be available in these rooms due to the thickness of the walls. These rooms are in the main Hotel building.
