There aren’t many hotels in Ibiza like Boutique Hostal La Salinas (or “BHS” for short). A total contrast to other larger hotels on the island. This is a simple hotel with only 11 rooms and no swimming pool… but this is Ibiza as it was… a cool vibe without any fuss…voted one of the “50 best seaside hotels in the Mediterranean” by Sunday Times (19th January 2014).

Unique in so many ways, they just don’t allow hotels to be built on or near the nature reserve at Ses Salines beach anymore. So you won’t find another hotel that can compare. A small boutique hotel right on one of the best beaches in Ibiza, with beach clubs nearby, and only  a short taxi ride away to Playa den Bossa and Ibiza Town.

Rooms are simple, most have a small balcony, but some don’t. We already mentioned there is no pool but in 2 minutes you can have your toes well and truly planted in the sand and the sea.

Continental breakfast is served until late morning / early afternoon. There is a bar and restaurant where some afternoons / evenings there is a DJ. The hotel does run some events during the summer. On Sundays a hippy market comes to the hotel.

Playa den Bossa is less than 8 minutes by taxi (6.3 kilometres), Ibiza Town less than 10 minutes (8.7 kilometres)

Boutique Hostal Las Salinas is not located in a resort but there are a number of beach clubs at Platja Ses Salines including Jockey Club, Sa Trinxa, Malibu and Guarana. At the far end of the beach is where you will find the clothing optional section… further around the bay on the other side of the lighthouse will bring you to the beach at Es Cavallet beach.

Scuba divers can also explore some of the dive sites such as the wreck of the Don Pedro where divers can dive to a depth of 30 metres.

There is a minimum stay of 5 nights, and ideal for those who really want to experience the essence of chilled beachfront Ibiza.

Although the hotel doesn’t have an adult only policy we would point out that we think the hotel is best suited to adults or families with children 12+
