The Ibiza Gran Hotel is a 5 star “Gran Lux” spa hotel located opposite the Marina Botafoch and offers a relaxed oasis of calm close to Ibiza Town. Situated about 1.4 kilometres outside of the historic old town “Dalt Vila”, the Ibiza Gran Hotel has the feel of a city hotel rather than a resort hotel but still with a vibe relaxed and the emphasis and focus on service. The “Gran Lux” status is self-awarded but it is designed to set the Ibiza Gran Hotel apart from other 5 star hotels in Ibiza.

The hotel is totally independent, not part of any chain or group, and family owned. The hotel regularly welcomes VIP’s and “A-listers” and a discreet and high level of service can be expected. Perfectly located for exploring Ibiza by boat, or on 4 wheels.

There are 3 restaurants; the hotels own restaurant (being refurbished in time for a re-opening in April 2015) where breakfast is served. In addition Cipriani restaurant opened in 2013, and in 2015 a unique new dining concept will launch:  a collaboration between Cirque de Soleil and renowned Spanish chef Albert Adrià.

Ibiza is renowned for having an abundance of fine restaurants and beach restaurants. Lion, the cabaret / club venue from the owners of Pacha is located just a short walk from the hotel, as is Pacha nightclub, the catalyst that started the Ibiza we know today.

The hotel has been styled to resemble a boat moored in the marina and this modern & contemporary has generous sized rooms ranging from Junior Suites to Penthouses

The nearest beach is at Talamanca about 500 metres away. Two of the best beaches are at Ses Salines and Es Cavallet are about a 10 minute drive. Playa den Bossa (home to Ushuaia Ibiza Beach Hotel) is about a 10 minute drive and Cala Jondal (home to Blue Marlin) is about a 15 minute drive.

We think: A grown up hotel for those seeking a relaxed atmosphere with high end service and facilities…it feels more like a city hotel than a resort hotel. Probably the best large hotel in Ibiza.
